    Fed Lowers Short-Term Interest .25%

    In an 8 to 2 vote, the Federal Reserve will lower the overnight interest rate 0.25% to 2%. According to Marketwatch.com, this is the lowest interest rate since 2004 and down from 4.25% at the beginning of 2008.
